The DELT(A)³ Academy recognizes that teacher/student interactivity is the key to effective learning. While the teacher is critical as a guide to student learning, ultimately, each student must be actively involved in building up his or her own understanding of the world. Hence, teachers at the DELT(A)³ academy should feel comfortable using questioning strategies and project based instruction as the primary modes of leading a student centered classroom. While lectures have their purpose in the DELT(A)³ classroom, they have a decidedly auxiliary role to the dialogue and projects that ensure student activity. In the DELT(A)³ classroom, students should be every bit as active and talkative as teachers, because critical thinking - and learning in general - is a necessarily active process.
