The DELT(A)3 Academy recognizes that teacher/student interactivity is the key to effective learning. While the teacher is critical as a guide to student learning, ultimately, each student must be actively involved in building up his or her own understanding of the world. Hence, teachers at the DELT(A)3 academy should feel comfortable using questioning strategies and project based instruction as the primary modes of leading a student centered classroom. While lectures have their purpose in the DELT(A)3 classroom, they have a decidedly auxiliary role to the dialogue and projects that ensure student activity. In the DELT(A)3 classroom, students should be every bit as active and talkative as teachers, because critical thinking - and learning in general - is a necessarily active process.
